Wickless Care & Warmer Compatibility
Use electric warmth for 1849 Mercantile fragrance. Never use an open flame. Follow the instructions supplied with your warmer.
Choose the right format
- Fragrance Cups: Use our 4 oz Fragrance Cups with a compatible overhead lamp or the Black & Gold 3-in-1 warming plate with its dish removed. Remove the foil lid completely before warming. Cups and jars may take longer to melt on the 3-in-1. Keep the wax in its aluminum Cup, upright, stable and centered.
- Wickless jars: Remove the lid. Use a compatible overhead lamp or warming plate. Check jar size, weight, clearance and placement against the warmer instructions.
- Clamshell wax melts: Remove a small portion from its plastic packaging and place it directly in a suitable wax-warming dish. Never heat the plastic clamshell.
Cup fit and setup
Our aluminum Cups measure approximately 85 mm across the outer lip, 42 mm across the flat base and 50 mm high. Confirm that your overhead lamp has enough clearance and that the Cup sits flat and securely. Prairie Rose has a fixed height; do not try to adjust it. Follow the instructions for your exact model.
Black & Gold 3-in-1
Warm loose wax melt portions in the removable dish. For a compatible jar or Fragrance Cup, remove the dish and place the open vessel directly on the warming plate. Cups and jars may take longer to melt on the 3-in-1. For suitable fragrance oils, use the dish only as directed by the manufacturer. Do not add oil or water to wax-filled Cups or jars.
Net contents
- Jars: 7 oz (198 g) net wax-and-fragrance fill in an 8 oz amber vessel with a black threaded lid, including Spiced Claret Reserve.
- Cups: 4 oz (113 g) net fill per Cup, available individually or in pairs for 8 oz total. Net fill excludes the vessel, lid and packaging.
- Clamshells: 2.5 oz (71 g) net fill per pack, divided into six portions.
Before and during warming
Place the warmer on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface away from children, pets and flammable materials. Inspect the vessel for damage. Never use a cracked or chipped jar. Remove all lids or foil before warming.
Keep the warmer in view while operating. A timer does not replace supervision. Do not move warm wax or vessels. Do not add water, extra oil or other materials to the wax. These are home-fragrance products, not food or products for skin or hair.
After warming
Switch off and let the wax, vessel, dish and warmer cool completely before handling or changing scents. Unplug before cleaning or moving the warmer. Follow its cleaning instructions. Dispose of cooled wax in household waste, never down a drain.
